Abstract

Financial distress merupakan keadaan saat perusahaan mengalami
kesulitan keuangan. Financial distress perlu segera ditangani sebelum terjadi
kebangkrutan pada perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh
kinerja keuangan terhadap financial distress. Variabel independen yang digunakan
pada penelitian ini adalah rasio profitabilitas, likuiditas, dan leverage. Financial
distress sebagai variabel dependen diukur dengan interest coverage ratio. Objek
penelitian ini adalah perusahaan transportasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia
pada tahun 2016-2020. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive
sampling dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif terhadap financial distress,
likuiditas berpengaruh positif terhadap financial distress, dan leverage berpengaruh
positif terhadap financial distress.
