Abstract

Abstract
Improving work engagement among working mothers is crucial not only due to their growing numbers each
year but also because of the inherent complexity in their lives. This study aims to examine the role of life
satisfaction as a mediating variable in the relationship between workplace spirituality and work engagement
among working mothers. The survey method was employed, utilizing workplace spirituality, work
engagement, and life satisfaction scales, all of which demonstrated favorable properties, with AVEcoefficients
above 0.50 and Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients above 0.60. The research comprised 706
working mothers who met specific criteria, including formal employment, having children, and a minimum
work experience of one year. Data analysis was conducted using smartPLS version 3. The study's results
indicate that life satisfaction indeed serves as a mediating variable in the link between workplace spirituality
and work engagement among these mothers. The implications of these findings are discussed, highlighting
the significance of increasing mothers' involvement in the workforce overall.
