Abstract

This research aimed at finding: 1) The data of the result of the students'
speaking anxiety using Quantum Learning Method (QLM) at the second grade
students of Islamic Boarding School of Aswaja Nusantara; 2) The data of the
result of the students' speaking anxiety without using QLM at the second grade
students of Islamic Boarding School of Aswaja Nusantara; 3) The data whether
QLM was able to reduce the students' speaking anxiety at the second grade
students of Islamic Boarding School of Aswaja Nusantara.
This was a case study using Quasi Experimental design involving
experiment class and control class. Population in this research was the second
grade students of Islamic Boarding School of Aswaja Nusantara consisting of 20
students. Data collecting technique in this research used observation sheet,
interview, questionnaire, tests, and documentation. Data analysis technique in this
research used means and t-test computation.
The result of this research showed: 1) The pre-test mean of experiment
class was 106.9 and after getting treatment using QLM, the post-test mean of
experiment class was 99.3; 2) The pre-test mean of control class was 104.9 and
after getting treatment without using QLM, the post-test mean of control class
was 103.6; 3) The t-test result of control class was 0.820 and the t-table was 1.83.
It means that the t-test result was less than t-table (0.820 < 183). It can be
concluded that there was no significant difference for students who were taught
without using QLM while the t-test result of experimental class was 4.275 while
the t-table was 1.83. It means that the t-test result was higher than t-table (4.275 >
1.83). It can be concluded that there was significant difference for students who
were taught by QLM. In short, the finding of this research showed that reducing
students’ speaking anxiety by using QLM was effective.
