PENGARUH PENERAPAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 3 SEWON BANTUL

This research aims to describe the influence of project based learning applied on Mathematic learning of the capability on Mathematical problem solving in grade VII of SMP N 3 Sewon.
This research is a quasi-experiment with pretest-postest of control group design. This research uses two classes, they are experimental and control class. The population of research covers all of VII class students of SMPN 3 Sewon that consist of four classes. The sample taken by purpose sampling is two clases: Class VII C and VII D.
Mathematic learning at VII D class used Conventional model and VII C used project based learning (PjBL) as the learning model. The instrument of the research is capability test on mathematical problem solving. For knowing the different influence between Project Based Learning and conventional model class, the research used one-sample t test experiment while for the advanced experiment was done by independent sample t test to know which variable that gives the contribution to the differences.
The result of the research shows that there is different influencs of Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Conventional learning model or the capability on Mathematical problem solving at SMPN 3 Sewon students. From the result, it shows that Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has better influence than the capability on Mathematical problem solving to SMPN 3 Sewon students.
