Abstract

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK ORGANIK DENGAN DOSIS YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS RUMPUT SETARIA (Setaria sphacelata)

INTISARI* Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap produktivitas rumput Setaria. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dikebun milik Bapak Abdul Yusuf yang beralamat di Desa Jlegiwinangun, Kecamatan Kutowinangun, Kabupaten Kebumen sejak tanggal 10 Maret sampai 08 Mei 2017. Variabel yang diamati jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, tinggi tanaman, produksi hijauan segar dan produksi berat kering. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok (4 perlakuan dan 3 kelompok sebagai ulangan). Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu P0 (tanpa penambahan pupuk organik), P1 (10 ton/ha), P2 (20 ton/ha) dan P3 (40 ton/ha). Pemberian pupuk organik dilakukan pada saat pengolahan tanah sesuai dosis yang ditentukan. Pemanenan dilakukan pada saat rumput Setaria berumur 45 hari. Analisis data menggunakan analisis variansi, apabila berbeda nyata dilanjutkan uji Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap jumlah daun P0 21,55 helai, P1 33,55 helai, P2 35,11 helai dan P3 48,56 helai, tinggi tanaman P0 52,22 cm, P1 62,11 cm, P2 62,33 cm dan P3 68,22 cm, jumlah anakan P0 5,22 pols, P1 6,00 pols, P2 6,44 pols dan P3 9,44 pols, produksi hijauan segar P0 50,16 ton/ha/th, P1 68,37 ton/ha/th, P2 81,20 ton/ha/th dan P3 112,72 ton/ha/th, dan produksi berat kering P0 9,63 ton/ha/th, P1 13,95 ton/ha/th, P2 18,46 ton/ha/th dan P3 25,61 ton/ha/th. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian pupuk organik dengan dosis 40 ton/ha menghasilkan produkvitas terbaik bagi rumput Setaria.

THE EFFECT OF ORGANIC FERTILIZER WITH DIFFERENT DOSAGE ON SETARIA (Setaria sphacelata) GRASS PRODUCTIVITY

ABSTRACT*

This study investigated the effect of supplementing different dosage organic fertilizer on the productivity of setaria grass. The study was conducted in a land belongs to Mr. Abdul Yusuf in Jlegiwinagun village, Kutowinangun, Kebumen Regency from 10 March 2017 to 8 May 2017. The observed variables were the number of leaves, the amoung of tiller, grass height, fresh forage yield and dry weight production. Completely randomized design was used to four treatments and three replicates. The treatments included P0 (control), P1 (10 ton/ha), P2 (20 ton/ha) and P3 (40 ton/ha). Organic fertilizer was incorporated during the land cultivation according to the doses. The grass was harvested on 45 days old. Data were subject to analysis of variance, continued by Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Result showed that different dose of organic fertilizer significantly affected (P<0,05) the number of leaves in PO, P1, P2 and P3 was 21.55, 33.55, 35.11 and 48.5, respectively; grass height of P0, P1, P2 and P3 was 52.22, 62.11, 62.33 and 68.22 cm, respectively; the amount of tiller of P0, P1, P2, and P3 was 5.22, 6.00, 6.44 and 9.44 pols, respectively; fresh forage yield of P0,P1, P2 and P3 was 50.16, 68.37, 81.20 and 112.72 ton/ha/year, respectively; and dry weight production of P0, P1, P2, and P3 was 9.63, 13.95, 18.46 and 25.61 ton/ha/year, respectively (P<0,05). It can be concluded that supplementing 40 ton/ha organic fertilizer resulted is the most optimum productivity of Setaria grass.
