Abstract

KAJIAN FORMULASI DAN DOSIS PESTISIDA NABATI BUAH BINTARO DALAM PENGELOLAAN HAMA CALLOSOBRUCHUS CHINENSIS L. PADA BENIH KEDELAI Irpan Khan 13011038 INTISARI Penyimpanan benih kedelai mengalami beberapa hambatan diantaranya keberadaan hama pascapanen pada penyimpanan benih kedelai. Pemberian pestisida nabati pada benih kedelai bertujuan untuk mengurangi populasi hama pada benih kedelai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis formulasi dan takaran pestisida nabati buah bintaro terbaik untuk menekan populasi hama C. chinensis pada benih kedelai dan mengetahui mutu benih kedelai setelah penyimpanan selama 4 bulan. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium Agronomi Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta pada bulan November 2016 sampai Maret 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan faktorial (2x3)+1 kontrol yang disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor pertama adalah formulasi pestisida nabati (E) yakni formulasi bubuk dan formulasi cair/larutan buah bintaro, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah takaran pestisida nabati buah bintaro (D) yang terdiri atas 3 aras yakni 5%, 10%, dan 20%. Total ada enam kombinasi perlakuan dan 1 kontrol/tanpa perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada interaksi antara perlakuan formulasi dan takaran pada populasi hama dan mutu benih kedelai setelah penyimpanan 4 bulan. Jenis formulasi dan takaran 5%, 10%, dan 20% pestisida nabati buah bintaro tidak dapat menekan populasi hama C. chinensis pada benih kedelai, benih kedelai yang disimpan setelah 4 bulan tidak terjaga mutunya. Kata kunci : kedelai, buah bintaro, Callosobruchus chinensis L., pestisida nabati. STUDY FORMULATION AND DOSE OF BOTANICAL PESTICIDE OF BINTARO FRUIT IN PEST MANAGEMENT CALLOSOBRUCHUS CHINENSIS L. ON SOYBEAN SEED Irpan Khan 13011038 ABSTRACT Storage of soybean seeds experienced several obstacles such as the presence of postharvest pests in the storage. Aplication of botanical pesticides in soybean seed was aimed to reduce pest populations in soybean seeds. This research was aimed (i) to determine the type of better formulation and (ii) the optimal dose of bintaro botanical pesticides to suppress the population of C. chinensis in soybean seeds and (iii) to know the quality of soybean seeds after storage for 4 months. The research had been conducted in Agronomy Laboratory of Mercu Buana University Yogyakarta from November 2016 to March 2017. This research was a factorial experiment (2x3) +1 control arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor was the formulation of botanical pesticide (E) i,e. powder and liquid formulation, while the second factor was doses of bintaro fruit botanical pesticide (D) which was consisted of 3 levels i,e. 5%, 10%, and 20%, so there were six treatment combinations 1 control and repeated 4 times. The results showed that there was no interaction between formulation and dosage of botanical pestiside on pest populations and soybean seed quality after 4 months storage. The formulation and dose of bintaro botanical pesticide could not suppress the population of C. chinensis. Furthermore, the quality of soybean seeds stored in 4 months was preserved Keywords: soybean, bintaro fruit, Callosobruchus chinensis L., botanical pestiside.
