Abstract

The phenomenon of competition among jobseekers when they entering the work world, create the concequence of career preparation that must be prepared as soon as possible. Youth are expected to build and develop themselves before entering the work world, in order to fit or to fullfil the company qualification. The aimed of this study was to identify ideal softskill profile (types and quality of softskill) as a requirement of hiring the employee. That profile can be used as a indicator of job successfullness, and as a tools to formulate the strategy recommendation from family, society, educational institutions, and stake holders. The data was analysed by quantitative descriptive method. The data was collected by jobskill profile (consist with type and quality of soft skill) which were used as a selection and recruitment tools for university freshgraduate to wont at staff level at 75 companies. In Indonesia. The result revealed that the most psychological criteria that company use as requirement were (1) intellectual dimension ability (general intelligence, abstraction, verbal and numerical ability), (2) personality dimensions, consists of emotional stability, adaptability, teamwork, social contact, leadership, and resistance to stress, (3) work attitude dimensions that consists of work motivation, work tempo (pace), work accuracy, and work endurance. The range level that expected from those aspects were 3.4 – 4.1 (scale 7). In order to achieve all the qualifications that mentioned above, the strong recomendation to create sofskill development strategy. The recommendation were conducted by empowering family, society neighbourhood, educational institution, and work institutions.
