The growth of plant seedling influenced by genetic and environment factors. The nursery environment includes climate and planting media. This research aim to determine the best planting media composition to seed germination and seedling growth of Robusta coffee. The research has been conducted in Sanan, Pleret, Bantul from September until November 2016. The research used single factor experiment arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Treatment factor is soil + sand + manure planting media composition consists of four levels namely 1:1:1, 2:1:1, 1:2:1, and 1:1:2, and for comparative use of soil planting media. The results showed that planting media composition of soil + sand + manure 2:1:1 is the best composition for seed germination of Robusta coffee. On the seedling growth of Robusta coffee, soil + sand + manure planting media composition 1:1:1, 2:1:1, 1:2:1 ratio is not significantly different, but they are better than the 1:1:2 composition and the soil alone.
