Abstract
The objective of this research was to analyze the misplacement word
stress in the dubbing video made by the non-English speaker in their
pronunciation. The research subject was English department students in
a private university of Yogyakarta. Descriptive qualitative research was
used to analyze the data found and Brown (1980) inter-lingual and intralingual is theory that used to find the problem. Mother tongue is the main
reason why stress misplacement happened in this research to non-native
speaker.
