Abstract

This study aims to create a program as an option for people who want to equalize
education. Unfortunately, the stigma in the community regarding this program has not been
so good. The result also impacts students who are participants in the package pursuit
program who lack self-concept. Students need to have a self-concept so that they can
achieve quality education. Through a good self-concept, one can absorb optimally any
given subject. Based on this urgency, this study was presented to know the effectiveness
of the Kurt Lewin training method to improve the self-concept of students participating in
the package C equivalency pursuit in Denpasar Bali. This research uses observation and
interview methods. The research was carried out directly on all ten students pursuing
package C, totaling ten students. The intervention was carried out by applying the ForceField Theory, which Kurt Lewin initiated. The implementation of this theory consists of three
stages, namely (1) the unfreezing stage, (2) moving, and (3) refreezing. The results
obtained after the intervention showed that both teachers and students internally desired
to change for the better. Support from outside the school environment, in this case, the
family, is also good. Constraints encountered are limited time and consistency of
implementation in the long-term considering that self-concept is a process that requires
consistency in its implementation.
