SMP N 2 Godean when the researcher did the observation. The researcher found
that some students in class seventh grades have low ability in learning listening.
Based on the problem above, this research conducted to improve students’ listening
skill by using stop motion video. The aims of conducting this research are as follow:

students’ attitude toward stop motion video.
The Classroom Action Research was used by the researcher in conducting
this research. The main subjects of this research were 32 students of class VII C at
SMP N 2 Godean. This research was conducted in two cycles with two meetings
for each cycle. The data were collected through the observation, interview,
questionnaire, and listening pre-test and post-test.
The results from the test shows that stop motion video improved the students’
listening skills. There was an increase in the means score from 62.6 in the pre-test
