Abstract

Since the pandemic of Covid-19 attack Indonesia in 2020, the government
set new rule to study and work from home based on the spread letter of
education ministry no. 30/SE/2020. It use internet to conduct learning activity.
This strategy use internet as the tool to access, deliver the materials and do
discussion by the internet. This kind of learning activity called as online
learning/ E-learning. Online learning provide materials matter and facilitate
interaction between teacher to students and fellow students. Online learning
also applied for English students’ education. In English, there are 2 skills
category need to be mastered as like productive skills (Speaking and Writing)
and receptive skills (Listening and Reading). Productive skill is a skill produce
a language to communicate and express language. It needs a lot of practice to
master till students able to use their productive skills maximally in
communication. However, online learning need good connectivity, electricity,
tools (gadget/computer) and social economy support. It may become a
challenge for teacher and students in running the online learning program. This
research analysis aim to analyze students’ and lecturer readiness on online
learning toward students’ productive skills.
