DESIGNING A MINI BOOK FOR TRADERS AT BERINGHARJO MARKET YOGYAKARTA

Yogyakarta is a part of Javaneses island which is famous for its tourism.
Beringharjo market as one part of the Malioboro area in Yogyakarta that is
interesting to visit both by domestic and foreign tourists. The facts were found
by a research when conducting the observation and interview with the traders in
Beringharjo market. The traders are not ready for communication. Most of the
traders only answer some words because they do not know English and they have
limited memory. The research would like to give solution with designing a mini
book for traders at Beringharjo market
The purposes of this research are 1) to explain the process of designing
a mini book for traders in Beringharjo market; and 2) present the design of a mini
book for the traders in Beringharjo. In this research use Research and
Development (R&D) and also uses ADDIE model as procedure of research
which contain phase of Analysis, Designing, Development, Implementation, and
Evaluation. The location of researcher in Beringharjo market in Yogyakarta by
using instruments in the form of an observation, interview, and the practice of
trader.
