Abstract
To know how far the English Teachers candidates an understanding of the educational Law. Due
to limited time and thingking that can be achived by the researcher,the problem in this study is
limited by exploring and researching the understanding of English teachers candidates of Mercu
Buana University of Yogyakarta. On the Educational Law, especially in the Law of Republic
Indonesia No 14 Tahun 2005 about Teachers and Lecturers. This study employed exploration
study participant of research is an object of the research. In this Study ,the participant is students
of English teacher candidates in 8th semester of Mercu Buana University Yogkayarta, who have
taken the PPL 2 course. The result that we have been obtained will displayed in the colum chart
and will be clearly explained. Based on the table and figure above, it is known that Candidates
teachers understanding of Educational Law is mostly medium category with the percentage of
43,33%,the high category of 36,67%, the very low category of 13,3%,the low category of 6,67%
and the very high category of 0%. Based on the result of the study interpreted the understanding
of candidates teachers to Educational Law most of the medium category
